Overview

PURPOSE is a 180ft tri-deck motor yacht, built by Trinity Yachts in 2005 and refit in 2023. Yacht PURPOSE carries the largest volume in her class, and a full-size elevator connecting the decks makes that scale immediately apparent. The yachts’s home waters are the islands of Southeast Asia, a cruising ground that rewards those willing to venture a little further.

The interior of PURPOSE is built around dark polished mahogany that runs through every corridor, cabin and communal space on board. In the main salon, curved cream sofas are arranged beneath an oval coffered ceiling, with deep blue velvet armchairs and gold side tables completing a room that feels like a private club, grand, settled, and wrapped in windows that look out to open water on all sides. In the formal dining room stands a long table with a crystal chandelier overhead and a bronze figure set into the mahogany wall. On the upper deck, the Skylounge makes an ideal place to relax, with a bold blue leaf-patterned carpet, white armchairs and a curved bar running along one wall.

Yacht PURPOSE’s aft deck is arranged for al-fresco dining, with a long teak table open to the water on three sides and a curved cream sofa behind for when the meal is done. The sundeck carries a sculptural white bar at one end and a Jacuzzi at the stern, surrounded by sunpads and cushioned seating. A 30’ waterslide from the top deck is the kind of detail that changes the mood of a charter entirely. As the evening draws in, an outdoor cinema screen rises on the foredeck, a surprisingly intimate setting for a yacht of this scale, with the open sky above and the water close on all sides.
