Overview
CORAL OCEAN is a 238ft tri-deck motor yacht, built in 1994 by Lurssen and designed by the legendary Jon Bannenberg. Formerly known as Coral Island, she underwent a remarkable rebuild in 2022 that earned her the Judges Special Award at the 2023 World Superyacht Awards, followed by a further refit in 2026 keeping her as sharp today as she has ever been. She cruises the Mediterranean in summer, with a dedicated crew of 24.
The interior of yacht CORAL OCEAN is built around a crisp palette of whites, soft blues and pale oak flooring, with mirrored ceiling details and ambient cove lighting giving every space a light, airy quality. The main salon is generous and open plan, arranged around low cream sofas and deep blue velvet accent chairs, with a sculptural white bar at one end and panoramic windows wrapping the room. Forward of it, the formal dining room seats the full group around a marble-topped table set beneath a cluster of ring-form chandeliers, flanked by lit wine cabinets and soft blue carpet underfoot. The second lounge on the main deck is the most memorable of all, a double-height space with a sculptural circular ceiling feature, backgammon tables waiting on the coffee tables, and a six-metre side-opening shell door that turns the room into a private balcony over the sea.
On deck, CORAL OCEAN was built for entertaining, and every level delivers. Teak runs throughout. The main deck aft opens onto a long, pale lounge with facing sofas in soft blues, deep enough to sink into and ideal for evenings at anchor. One level up, the owners deck aft is dressed in striped cushions in sea glass blues and greens, with alfresco dining for the full group on one side and a long open table for larger gatherings on the other, all arranged beneath glass balustrades that keep the view completely uninterrupted. At the top, the sundeck is home to a spa pool with a glass bottom that lets light and water filter through to the deck below, a rare and genuinely unique feature you will not find on many yachts. Generous sunpads, a full-service bar, a round dining table, a retractable electric skylight overhead and an 85-inch TV that rises from the ceiling complete the space for movies under the stars.
Yacht CORAL OCEAN’s wellness offering sits in a class of its own. An onboard treatment room delivers HydraFacials, Lutronic LED light therapy, massages and full salon services, complemented by an infrared sauna, a steam room and an ice bath. At the stern, a floating sea pool extends off the swim platform, with an impressive collection of water toys ready to go and her 38ft shadow vessel Little Coral always close by. Whether anchored off a Cycladic beach in August or cruising the blue waters of the British Virgin Islands in January, yacht CORAL OCEAN is every bit the vessel that redefined what a superyacht charter can be.
