Overview
ARKTOS is a 137ft classic schooner motor sailer, built in 2004 by Basimakopoulos Shipyard with a refit in 2025. Two masts carry more than nine thousand square feet of sail above a dark green wooden hull, and she sails the Aegean and the Ionian from her base along the coast from Athens.
The interior of yacht ARKTOS was designed by Dimitris Thiraios. The main salon is lined in honey-toned wood, with plush cream seating, a writing desk set beneath the windows and a small bar lounge on the end. Soft olive tones run through the cushions, matching with the green in her hull. The formal dining salon sits alongside, honey-toned panelled to match, with a long table surrounded by three art pieces. The vessel has great nautical feel and design, creating a warm welcoming atmosphere for her charter guests.
On deck, ARKTOS gives her charter guests far more room than her length suggests. The aft deck is the heart of it, shaded overhead and open at the sides, with a long table for al-fresco dinners and low green cushioned benches that fill up as the evening goes on. Forward, sunpads are laid out between the masts and above the deckhouse, well out of the way of everything and open to the water on both sides. Teak side decks run her full length, wide enough to walk without ducking under the rigging, and the view aloft with the sails set is the reason people book a boat like this one. After dark a projector turns the foredeck into an outdoor cinema. There is a good spread of water toys waiting at the stern, and a board games that tend to appear somewhere between the two.
