First established as the family run, Genoa-based Campanella Shipyard in 1915, it wasn’t until 1978 – when Gruppo Mondo turned the company into a proper, custom yacht builder – that Mondomarine really hit the global stage. Inspired by Gruppo’s desire to make mid-size, custom yachts, MondoMarine quickly gained a reputation for its aluminum alloy and steel yachts over 40 meters in length. Today, it is responsible for creating some of the most exquisite superyachts in the modern yacht world, including the largest yacht currently out on the Mediterranean Sea: an 820-ton travel lift.
Now located in Savona, and managed by brothers Ferruccio and Elio Stroppiana, MondoMarine completes all of its design and construction work from its 35,000 square-meter, seafront facility. Using only the best Italian designers and cutting-edge technology, MondoMarine launches luxury yachts that are the epitome of style, class and elegance. Utilizing a combination of steel, light alloy and fiberglass, MondoMarine has the technology and team necessary to create extraordinarily powerful yachts that are fast, silent and strikingly attractive. The majority of their current collection includes impressive and customized superyachts ranging from 95 to 164 feet in length.
