The Church of Panagia Paraportiani: Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the lovely church of Panagia Paraportiani is situated right near the beginning of the neighborhood of Kastro. Adjacent to the sea, this church is a combination of five smaller churches: Agios Efstathios, Agios Anargyros, Agios Sozon, and Agia Anastasia, with the church of the Virgin Mary on top. Built at different times over the years, between the 14th and 17th centuries, today, the Church of Panagia Paraportiani is one of the most photographed churches from around the world.
