The Bubbly Pool
The Bubbly Pool is a unique, natural geological wonder on the east side of Jost Van Dyke. The Bubbly Pool, right beside Diamond Cay, can be experienced when the surf and swells are up. It is a small cove with tall rocks and when waves break over them, a rush of bubbling white water from the wave top goes into the pool filling it with foaming, white, swirling jets of sea water, a natural Jacuzzi!
If you are searching for an idyllic and relaxing destination like those featured in country musician Kenny Chesney’s videos, then a BVI vacation to Jost Van Dyke is what you want. The island was featured in the song “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” and mentioned by name in the lyrics to “Somewhere in the Sun.” So get “up and run to another life somewhere in the sun” at Jost Van Dyke.
Fun Fact:
There are no ATM’s on the entire island, so bring enough cash. Walking between the main “town” of Great Harbor, up over the hill to White Bay is a tranquil short walk, granting spectacular views from Tortola all the way across St. John to St. Thomas in the distance. You can pretty much go to anywhere by foot, but can rent 4x4s or other vehicles from the locals.
