Marinas in Nassau and Paradise Island

Nassau is the starting point for many yacht charters in the Bahamas, which means it has some of the finest, most luxurious marinas.

Here are the five marinas in Nassau where you will meet your charter yacht:

Atlantis Marina

Atlantis Resort is the starting point for many yacht charters, and it has the best megayacht marina in the Bahamas. This marina accommodates vessels of up to 240’ and guests can enjoy all of the amenities and services available to resort guests. Transportation is available from the marina to spots such as the waterpark, casino, nightclub and marine exhibits.

Accessed directly from Nassau harbor, Atlantis Marina has 63 mega-yacht slips, and a 100-foot-wide channel, located to the west of the northbound Nassau/Paradise Island bridge, allows for unrestricted mast height on sailboats and easy access for power boats. Services available to marina guests include tie-up assistance, dock assistance, 24-hour security, laundry and dry cleaning, and even catering.

Some of the attractions and amenities you’ll want to experience at Atlantis are the Aquaventure waterpark, the Ocean Club Golf Course, the Casino, Aura nightclub, and Dolphin Cay.

Albany Marina

Albany Marina is located within a luxury seaside resort community in New Providence, designed to rival the greatest resort ports of the world. Featuring the latest in amenities and innovative dock design, Albany Marina can accommodate yachts up to 300’, making her one of the largest berthing destinations in the Caribbean.

The 71 slips are each equipped with a floating concrete dock system and dedicated slip fuel, plus fresh water, power, and fiber optic lines for cable and internet service.

Guests will love the premium amenities and services available at Albany, including security, a yacht watch program, marina attendants, dining, golf, spa, water sports, an equestrian center and a racquet club.

Bay Street Marina

Nestled in the heart of Nassau, Bay Street Marina is the first marina located within walking distance of both Paradise Island and Downtown.

This marina has 89 slips that can accommodate vessels up to 150’ and a draft of 12’ at low tide, available for transient or permanent docking. You’ll have access to free wi-fi at every slip, 24 hour dockmaster services and full CCTV security, electrical supply, fresh reverse osmosis water, and a wastewater disposal facility. Yacht washdown and polishing services are also available.

Bay Street Marina’s amenities will make it feel like your home away from home. Guests will have use of showers, laundry facilities, a pool and a fitness center.

Hurricane Hole Marina

Located in one of the best spots on Paradise Island, Hurricane Hole Marina is only steps away from restaurants, shopping, golf, casinos, nightclubs and so much more.

This full-service marina offers the finest amenities and services to its guests, including a swimming pool, waterfront restaurant and bar, and premium concierge services. Its 90 slips that can accommodate yachts over 200’ in length feature power, phone and cable service, 24 hour security, fresh water and ice, showers and dressing rooms, laundry facilities, and fuel service. Guests also have access to rooms at the Atlantis resort.

Hurricane Hole Marina is also home to several annual events, including the Paradise Island leg of the Bahamas Billfish Championship, a tournament that attracts anglers from around the world.

Nassau Yacht Haven

Nassau Yacht Haven is the oldest and largest marina in Nassau with a rich history of welcoming yachtsmen from around the world. Located in the center of Nassau Harbor, it provides convenience and comfort to its guests.

Docks are wide and spacious with slips that can accommodate boats up to 200’ feet in length and drafts of up to 18’. Each slip has water and electrical hookups, and you’ll take comfort in the 24/7 security on duty. You’ll also have access to services provided by the dock master’s office, including ice, laundry supplies, phone cards, postcards, stamps and even UPS/Fedex package delivery or pick up. A laundry room and showers are also available for guests

Guests at the marina can dine at the world-famous Poop Deck Restaurant, or take advantage of the 5-star PADI dive center. You’ll also be within walking distance of the Harbor Bay Shopping Center.

Lyford Cay Marina

Lyford Cay Marina is part of a 1000 acre private club near the Nassau International Airport. Its excellent amenities and top-tier service make it a favorite with guests from across the world. This full-service gated marina has 76 slips complete with fuel, electricity, water, ice, cable, telephone and internet. It’s also located near a shopping center.

Marina guests do not have access to the club amenities unless sponsored by a member. If you do have the sponsorship of a member while staying at the marina, you’ll be able to enjoy the 18-hole golf course, a state of the art tennis center, a stunning white sand beach, dining, a fitness center and water sports.
