Coming to South Florida at the age of seven from Port Au Prince, Haiti, Rod Lindor has always spent his life near the water. In fact, he was fascinated by it. As a child, when Rod wasn’t in school, doing homework, running track, or marching in his school marching band, Rod was riding his bike from his home in Midtown Miami to Miami Beach (a seven mile stretch!) just to be near the sea. Driven by his passion, after graduating high school, Rod went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. Lucky for him, life fused his love for the water with his love for travel, and the Corps stationed Rod in Japan to fulfill roles in administration and intelligence.
Fast-forward years later, and Rod returned to the states looking for the next step in his career—so naturally, he turned to the ocean. Joining the yachting industry, he worked as a Charter Manager for top Fort Lauderdale yacht brokers. With a passion for relationship building, marketing and yachting itself, Rod knew early on that he had found his calling.
Now as Charter Manager at Worldwide Boat, Rod is responsible for marketing fleets of yachts to brokers worldwide, booking charters, growing his fleet, ensuring each yacht has savvy and appropriate crew members, and staying up-to-date on all yachts, the crew and their calendar.
And when he’s not coordinating yachting trips for others, you better believe you can still find Rod nearby. He loves spending time at the beach, being on or near the ocean as much as possible, traveling, watching sports, working out, playing basketball, skydiving or seeing an old-fashioned movie. With a love for all things traveling, Rod also has dreams of being trained as a recreational pilot, and he is currently taking the steps necessary to get his pilot’s license.
